Amitabh Bachchan has tested positive for Coronavirus. The actor took to Twitter and wrote, “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”

Soon after his tweet, even Abhishek Bachchan wrote that he had Covid-19. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”

Right from the start of the lockdown, Amitabh has worked from home on various promotional as well as professional assignments. He was seen in a public service announcement video, in which he shared preventive measures to curb the spread of Covid-19. The video, shot by him at his home, was shot in both English and Hindi. He was also seen in a short film, Family for which he was filmed at home. The film also featured Alia Bhatt, Diljit Dosanjh and Ranbir Kapoor among others. Big B even shot the promos of KBC from home.
On the other hand, Abhishek had stepped out on at least four occasions recently. He was snapped by the paps wearing masks on all occasions.
Abhishek had recently shared a note on the release of his Web Series, Breathe: Into the shadows. He wrote, “As an actor, our greatest joy is to receive a positive response to our hard work. Reading all your beautiful comments all day has been so wonderful and emotional.”
