Keerthy Suresh Penguin
Eashvar Karthic’s film Penguin got a mixed response from the critics. While the story failed to impress, critics and audiences raved about Keerthy Suresh’s performance. She lived the emotions of a troubled mother who is on the hunt for an abductor – killer. Keerthy Suresh brought forth Rhythm’s anguish, trauma and determination with finesse.
Rashmika Mandanna Bheeshma
The spunky Rashmika Mandanna made a place for herself in the hearts of the Telugu audience after Geetha Govindam. Her performances in Sarileru Neekevvaru and Bheeshma have also been loved by the audience. In Bheeshma, people loved her chemistry with Nithiin.
Samantha Akkineni Jaanu
We know that Trisha was outstanding in the original film, 96. Samantha Akkineni gradually came into her own in the Telugu film, remake Jaanu and matched upto Sharwanand who was outstanding. Critics felt she let her eyes do all the talking.
Pooja Hegde Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo
Though it might look easy, being a heroine in a masala entertainer is hard work. Though Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo was written about Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde’s winsome charm did its trick. Fans are crazy over her Butta Bomma and comedy scenes.
Jyothika Ponmagal Vandhal
Jyothika’s performance was the highlight of this courtroom drama. In the film, she plays Venba a lawyer who reopens a 15-year-old case. The actress wants to have a solid body of work for her kids to be proud and Ponmagal Vandhal had the social message. Critics loved her stoicisim and melancholic performance in the film.
Mamta Mohandas Forensic
Forensic was much appreciated for the performances by Tovino Thomas and Mamta Mohandas. The actress did her best as a cop in the film.
