Mumbai cops have been investigating actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death since a month now. Close to 35 people have been interrogated so far by the cops. Today, filmmaker Rumi Jaffrey has been called by the Mumbai cops. The late actor was supposed to begin work on a film with him. The movie was a family drama cum comedy. Late Sushant Singh Rajput was supposed to be starring with rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty in the film, which would be shot in Punjab and London. Filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra and Shekhar Kapur have been interrogated by the cops so far. Rumi Jaffrey said his family and he were immensely saddened by the actor’s sudden demise in June.
Earlier, Rumi Jaffrey had come out in support of Rhea Chakraborty. He said, “Were you there? Did Sushant tell you anything about his equation with Rhea? Do you have any idea how devoted she was to him? When you talk about her as gold-digger it is shameful. She’s under terrible stress. She is just a young innocent girl. I fear she may crack under pressure. Then who will take responsibility if anything happens to her?”
In the mean time, fans are gearing up to celebrate Sushant Singh Rajput one last time at the movies with Dil Bechara. It is coming tomorrow on Hotstar. The film also stars Sanjana Sanghi, Sahil Ved and Swastika Mukherjee. It is the directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra. The actor had begun his career with Mukesh with Kai Po Che in 2013.
