Due to coronavirus pandemic, we saw the entertainment industry coming to a standstill but thanks to recent unlock phase, post which many shows and films have resumed the shooting. Talking about Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, the latest development suggest that the upcoming schedule of the film, which was supposed to take place in Ladakh, has been cancelled due to ongoing tension between Indian and China in Galwan Valley. The makers are now planning to shoot that schedule in Kargil, which is expected to start in October.
As per the Mid-Day report, a source said, “Given the current scenario, shooting in Ladakh is out of the question. So, Aamir, Advait and the top brass at the studio are considering shifting the venue to Kargil. The final call will be taken in the coming weeks.” Known for his perfectionist attitude towards his craft, the actor took Punjabi lessons for the film as he will be saying many Punjabi dialogues in it. And the 55-year-old actor has taken the Punjabi lessons from his 3 Idiots costar Mona Singh, who is also playing a key character in Laal Singh Chaddha. The actress recently said that Aamir used to take her help for the pronunciation and dialogues.
Talking about Laal Singh Chaddha, the film, we all know that it is a remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump. The latter was based on a 1986’s novel by the same name, written by Winston Groom. Tom Hanks played the lead character alongside Robert Wright and Gary Sinise. The movie received several accolades and was the biggest hit of that year. Forrest Gump swept the Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Visual Effects and Best Film Editing. Meanwhile, Hanks was applauded for his performance with the Best Actor Oscar award. The movie also performed well at the Golden Globes, People’s Choice Awards, and Young Artist Awards.
