Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise has left fans shocked and saddened. It has also caused a uproar on social media, which was not expected by anyone. The Mumbai Police is investigating the circumstances around his death but fans are not satisfied in the manner in which the enquiry is being conducted. They have been demanding a CBI probe for a month now. With a number of contradictory reports coming in, they feel an impartial probe is the need of the hour. The demand for a CBI Enquiry has gained momentum as former minister Subramanian Swamy has appointed lawyer Ishkaran Singh Bhandari into the matter.
Ishkaran Singh Bhandari has urged all fans of Sushant Singh Rajput to light a candle at 8 pm today and share pictures with him. He has called all fans from India and abroad. In cities like Patna there have been demonstrations on the streets but in small numbers. A gathering for a CBI probe was held in Kolkata as well. Some leaders had planned a demonstration in Delhi near Parliament House but that has been cancelled now due to the pandemic. This digital protest is a peaceful way to protest from the confines of one’s home. Former minister Subramanian Swamy has also said that he will light a candle.
Some days back, Ishkaran Singh Bhandari wrote to the Mumbai Police asking them to seal the flat of the late actor. He told them to seal all electronic evidences too. So far, around 38 people have been interrogated by the Mumbai cops that include filmmakers like Aditya Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. A day back, some unconfirmed reports of statements given by the doctors treating Sushant came forward. People from the medical fraternity are slamming the reporting as they feel it is insensitive and can trigger more suicides in the nation. We have to see how Ishkaran Singh Bhandari takes the matter forward in the coming days!
