Dil Bechara will release on 24th July 2020. It will premiere on an OTT platform. There has been a lot of debate on the digital release as fans wanted it to have a theatrical release. The actor’s costar, Deepak Kalra opened up on the same in an interview with Koimoi.com. “I won’t say the fans are wrong. Makers bhi yahi chahte honge jinhone 2.5 saal khoon paseene lagake yeh film banayi, Lekin iss waqt kya yeh possible hai? (Even the makers would have wanted a theatrical release. Since they have worked on it for 2.5 years. However, in these uncertain times, we cannot say). We don’t know when will this pandemic end? and when will the theatres reopen? Even if the theatres reopen, it wouldn’t be safe for the families to go and watch. Ab aisi situation main best kya hai? Sabka film dekhna ya kuch logon ka film dekhna? (What is the best thing one can do in this time? Everyone watching the film or only few people watching the film.) You know the answer. Mera manna hai “Film 100 crore kama ke badi nahi banti, Film badi banti hai jab 100 crore log usse dekhe” (I feel the film becomes bigger when 100 crore people come and watch it and not when it earns Rs 100 crore),” he said.
