Legendary rock n roll icon (probably the greatest ever to belt a tune) Elvis Presley’s only grandson, Benjamin Keough, has passed away merely at the age of 27. The death is apparently being pronounced as suicide after he was found dead from a gunshot wound suspected to be inflicted by himself. The same has been reported by police authorities who were called to the scene of Benjamin’s death after his body was found near LA. Further investigation into the apparent suicide is being conducted. Benjamin Keough’s demise was confirmed by his mother, Lisa Marie Presley’s manager, Roger Widynowski, who reported the news to AFP, adding that his death appears to have occurred from suicide. His body was found in Calabasas near Los Angeles with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police sources told TMZ. Widynowski offered no other details about the Benjamin’s death, but revealed that Lisa, Elvis Presley’s only child from his marriage to Priscilla Presley, was “heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated”. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life,” added Widynowski who also said that she was “trying to stay strong” for her daughters. Benjamin Keough seldom made public appearance, preferrign instead to stay away from the limelight, unlike is celebrate grandfather, but whatever few appearances did make always drew comparisons for his striking resemblance to his granddad. In fact, in an earlier interview, Lisa had described her son’s resemblance to Elvis as “just uncanny.”

Benjamin was an upcoming musician who had also indulged in a few acting assignments. In 2017, he had attended the 40th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death at the singer’s former home, Graceland, now an iconic national treasure, in Memphis.
