National Award winning actress, Divya Dutta, who is known for her performances in films like Veer-Zaara, Badlapur, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and others, revealed that in the initial stage of her career, she used to get signed for the project only to get replaced letter. Talking to Zoom Digital, she said, “All the time. I mean, a few years back, all the time but of course not anymore.7 ya 8 saal pehle, mere saath yahi hota tha. I was signed, then was replaced. As a newcomer, this used to happen with me many a time. I would probably go back and I used to cry a lot.”
She further said that her mother was a pillar of strength for the actress at that time. “You know, I was lucky that my mother taught me a lesson, which is that it is not the end of your life. You want something, you work hard for it with all your passion. If people are disapproving, neglecting, or rejecting you, then you must get up and do otherwise. Let them not get over you,” said the Aaja Nachle actress.
“So ya, it has been a long journey. It took me 16 years to prove myself. Girls don’t get more chances, but I was lucky that I got one. Now, roles are being written for me and it doesn’t happen anymore. You can’t overlook the sh*t everyone goes through,” concluded the actress.
