Dear trolls, shaming the grieving Kapoors is a shameless display of your sick mentality

Breaking News

The members of the Kapoor family including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and his girlfriend Alia Bhatt were brutally shamed by trolls for hosting a small celebration for Randhir Kapoor on his 74th birthday (February 15), merely a week after the sudden demise of Rajiv Kapoor, the youngest son of late legend Raj Kapoor. The Bollywood actor and filmmaker passed away on February 9 after suffering a heart attack in Mumbai at the age of 58. Many people were disgusted to see the Kapoors chilling, laughing and celebrating just a few days after a death in the family. It is so disappointing to see how people treat the loss of others differently. Why can’t this particular section of people let the family mourn the way they want to? Why do they want to see the Kapoor family cry? Isn’t that a shameless display of one’s sick mentality? Before shaming and judging the family, one, as a human being, should realise that a death in any family leaves a void that can’t be filled. The Kapoor family could cry and express their grief in public as the trolls expected them to do but wouldn’t that affect their loved ones to see them trapped in such a terrible situation? Is there a rule book that people should mourn the loss of their loved ones in a particular way? It is very easy for people to judge others and run someone down. It is probably the worst form of trolling one could ever indulge in instead of being compassionate and empathetic towards the grieving family. Everyone has their own way of handling the pain. If the Kapoors chose to keep themselves distracted by throwing a small celebration on Randhir’s birthday, it was their way of coping the loss of their family member.

We learnt that it was in fact Kareena and Karisma’s idea to not leave their father alone and have him surrounded by people. “The girls dote on him. Kareena will have a baby soon and will get busy for sometime with her baby duties. So, this was her chance to spend some time with her father, especially after such a huge loss. Meanwhile, Karisma has taken up on herself to stay around her father and ensure that the trauma doesn’t take a toll on his health,” revealed the source exclusively to Bollywood Life.

It is high time, we, as a society, practice the acts of kindness, show compassion, help and support each other and motivate people rather than demeaning them according to our own convenience. Period.
