Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes starrer Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 has resumed shooting for the show. They have taken all safety measures and are set to be back with a bang. It was reported earlier that Karan Singh Grover will not continue as Mr. Bajaj in the show and Karan Patel will be replacing him. Now, another actor from Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 has decided to quit the show. Yes, we are talking about Kunal Thakur who played Anurag Basu’s nephew in the show. Kunal Thakur in an interview with the Times Of India revealed that he was happy with his character but does not feel safe to work under such difficult situations. He said, “The makers had planned a leap and we were chosen to add a fresh angle to the show, but then, the lockdown happened. Now, they are again planning to introduce many changes and twists. While I have no issues creatively, I don’t feel safe shooting under the current circumstances.”
“I recently underwent a wisdom tooth surgery and was on medication. My immunity has dipped due to this. Also, the monsoon season has started and it’s not feasible for me to commute from my residence in Madh Island to Andheri. My area is a containment zone and I don’t have a driver who will take me to work everyday. I am very new to the industry and I feel that I am not equipped to combat such a crisis while I am shooting. I would like to stay at home till the scare settles, ” he added. Kunal Thakur who made his television debut with Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 revealed how he got a chance to be a part of the show.
Kunal said, “I had gone for some work to Delhi, when I got the offer to audition for the show. I returned to Mumbai and auditioned for the role. The next thing I know, I was selected for the role. I am open to all kinds of roles whether it is films or television. The role is important for me.”
