Can you believe that half of 2020 is already over? It’s been the weirdest year so far with the months being January, February and Pandemic. Anyway, while it has been a bad year so far, as far as films are concerned, the OTT platform has benefited as people consumed more content due to the lockdown. And to be fair, we also saw some great web series that were released. Thrillers dominated with shows like Aarya, Asur and Special Ops. So without any further ado, here’s a look at the best web series of 2020 released till June. Do remember to vote for your favourite at the end. Special Ops

Aarya


Sushmita Sen was seen playing the lead role in this Ram Madhvani directed web series. It was her comeback project and she was really impressive. Even the series was an engaging watch. Jamtara


This was based on a rather unusual topic of phishing and was a surprise hit. It felt very real.

Asur


Starring Arshad Warsi in the lead role, this revolved around a killer on the loose who leaves his signature behind after every murder. This nail-biting thriller also had a mythological flavour.

Paatal Lok


Jaideep Ahlawat charmed as the flawed cop who is assigned the case of an attempt to murder. The more he investigates, the more he finds about the involvement of politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen in the system.

Panchayat


Jitendra Kumar plays the protagonist who secures a government job in a village. His aim is to clear the UPSC exam but he meets a variety of people on his journey. Apart from Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav were excellent in this one.
